SECRETARIES – England Accreditation renewal deadline – March 10th 2024
Final reminder: The YEL is an England accredited league. Our League Regulations, (Reg 1) states that to be a member club of the YEL you must hold be an England Football Accredited Club. For a club to be a readmitted or accepted as a new member of the YEL for season 2024-25 you must be England Accredited by the AGM in June (brand new clubs – less than 12 months old – need to obtain an email from your county FA to say that you have started the process)
The deadline set by The FA to have your renewal/England Accreditation application submitted is March 10th 2024. Please check NOW that your coaches have the necessary qualifications. If not, then get onto the process ASAP as some online courses – Introduction to coaching as an example – get filled up quickly and you may find they have no availability.

Silent Support Weekend 2024
On 2-3 March, it’s Silent Support Weekend 2024.
For players…They’ll be doing all the talking. This is an opportunity for them to find their voice and explore their game, without any distractions.
For coaches…When the game is in play, coaches can either join in the silent support, or coach around the match. Either way, they champion the voices on the pitch.
For spectators…We’re asking anyone on the sidelines to show your support with applause only. When the noise stops, they become unstoppable.
Your silence speaks volumes. Let’s see the difference it makes on the pitch.
Advance Notice – Transfer/Player registration deadline
REMINDER: As per YEL rules 18(I) A Player may not be registered for a Club nor transferred to another Club in the Competition after 16th March except by special permission of the Management Committee.
If you are looking to sign/register an additional player/s the transfer/registration must be completed by 16th March.
Ramadan 2024
We are a very diverse league with players from many different cultural backgrounds. Sport and culture have to try and work in harmony for the benefit of all participants. We realise that some of our players (mainly U13s/U14s) will be observing Ramadan from Mon 11th March to Tues 9th April. There are Cup games scheduled during this period which need to be played in order for the competition to stay on track for the finals in May. If any team does not have sufficient players to field a team during this period, you should contact the YEL Office now – yel@live.co.uk – so we can try and find a solution. There’s no guarantee we can but we’ll do our best.
