Cup Update

The YEL are delighted that we are once again able to announce details of end of season Cup Finals and our planning of 54 matches in May.

We’ll contact the finalists nearer the time to explain the spectator entry costs and general plans to host so many matches.

In recent years we have used Sports Gateway/Rolls Royce in Hucknall, but that venue is not available to us in 2022. we would like to thank Jamie Brough and the team at Sports Gateway for its support in recent years.

We have 4 venues being used for the 54 Finals in 2022 and we have 2 stadiums for some of the 11 a side and then 2 high quality YEL venues for the majority of the matches.

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th May 2022

All U8, U9 and U10 Finals will be played at Norman Archer Ground, Clifton All Whites FC (extra parking made available next door at the Clifton Football Centre)

We have 15 Saturday and 10 Sunday Finals and these will eb staggered from 10am to 2pm and we will give at least one month notice of KO time per Final

Saturday 14th May 2022

Carlton Town football Club will host 3 finals 11 a side with KO times 1030, 1230 and 230pm. a decision on which 3 Finals will be made early April (after QF completed)

Keep Scoreline up to date with team contact info

FOR TEAM ADMINS/MANAGERS & CLUB SECRETARIES – It is really important to keep Scoreline updated with any manager/team contact changes – names, email addresses, phone numbers etc. Scoreline is our own YEL system which DOES NOT link to WGS/Full-Time as these are FA systems. We use Scoreline information to liaise with teams and if the information is not up to date, the right person will not receive the information. Managers – please check that your details are correct on Scoreline. Secretaries – please check that all of your teams’ contacts are up to date. If you are unable to update Scoreline yourselves, please email the YEL Office – yel@live.co.uk – with the correct information and we will arrange for Scoreline to be updated.

Card checks

Concerningly, we are receiving anecdotal reports of some teams not doing card checks before games. This is a reminder that it is a league rule that both teams in ALL YEL organised games – league, friendly and cup games – must show their ID cards downloaded from WGS prior to the start of the game. If you have somehow avoided showing cards to this point of the season, count yourself very lucky not to have been fined. Please ensure that this weekend you have ID cards/sheets available for inspection by your opposition. Anyone found to not have shown cards will immediately be referred to the YEL Discipline team. Apart from fines, other sanctions are available. For cup competitions in particular, anyone not showing cards can be treated as a cancellation on the day which will result in instant removal from the cup. There is no reason for ID sheets/cards not to be shown so please do not be responsible for your players being removed from the cup or have points removed from them after they have won a league fixture.

International Youth Football Tournament at Disneyland Paris – Easter 2022

A word from Sport Experiences about this opportunity for clubs with
U10-U15 Boys and
U13 & U15 Girls

Our long-running partnership with Disneyland Paris® has been a continued success and given thousands of children once-in-a-lifetime experiences. With the recent travel restrictions caused by Covid-19, many of us have been unable to travel and it’s a shame that many children have missed out on holidays and other opportunities. We have worked hard to produce new Covid-19 insurance policies to ensure that our customer’s money is safe. We want to reassure everyone that we have taken everything into account so that you can all have absolute peace of mind. Things are now moving in the right direction with overseas travel and we think it’s about time kids had fantastic experiences abroad which they will remember forever, playing the sport they love. It’s only £50pp deposit to secure each place!
We are on hand should you have any concerns or questions – simply call 020 8335 4949 for a chat and let’s get your club to Disneyland Paris® this April!
