YEL Office email address is changing!
Issues with accessing Whole Game System/Club Portal
The FA have announced that Whole Game System is being retired and are advising Clubs to switch to the new Club Portal where everything is migrating to.
Clubs have reported they are having difficulty accessing it – keep getting a message stating ‘Getting things ready’ and going no further. The FA are aware of their system issues and are looking for the fix. In the meantime they are suggesting either clearing your cache or opening the site in an incognito window – go to your google chrome browser, click the three dots in the top right and select ‘open new window incognito’ This should work. Alternatively, other users have advised that it works if you use a different browser eg Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox etc. You can get access to your squad ID sheets as normal and have access to all usual player reg things.
They have also added an additional level of security to Full-Time. When you access this for the first time, you will receive an automated email notification to verify your email address. Once this is completed, there should be no problems getting into Full-Time.
Home team contacting the away team
Reminder: It is the home team’s responsibility to contact the away team and any appointed referee to confirm the details of the game. It is courteous to do this early ie Monday/Tuesday before the game (NOT Wednesday/ Thursday!)
Your message should include details of the venue, kick off time, colours you play in and any other relevant information eg, facilities, changing room availability, no dogs etc. It’s only when you get a reply that the game is confirmed. If you don’t receive a reply, the game is not confirmed and you should chase it.
Incorrectly completed match returns attract fines
A small selection of coaches are still completing the players statistics section of the Full-Time match returns incorrectly.
Below is a list of common errors:
All players in attendance listed in the ‘starters’ column
All players listed in the ‘Unused bench’ column (see image – actual match return submitted by one team!)
Players listed in both the ‘starters’ AND ‘bench’ column (if they started they shouldn’t be listed on the bench as well and vice versa)
Players listed in the ‘unused bench’ column (some teams are listing all of their squad even if they weren’t at the game as ‘unused bench’ – you only list the players who were involved in the game on the day in either starters or bench used.)
If in doubt, please read the guidance in the ‘Basic guide to running a YEL team’ https://yelonline.com/managers-and-coaches-useful-information
Compliance checks – Coach 1 & Coach 2
Following on from the piece of work that we started just before the beginning of the season, we are pleased to report that over 90% of our teams are fully compliant with the two coach requirement. A big thank you to those clubs who have worked to make this safeguarding requirement happen not only from the league but also from Nottinghamshire FA.
Sadly there are still some teams who are not compliant. One club has now had all of their teams suspended from all football activities by the County FA after we had already suspended their fixtures since the start of the season for non compliance. The club will remain suspended until they become compliant.
Clubs/teams who are not compliant will have received an email from YEL Safeguarding detailing what is required. Please note that non compliant teams will not start the Spring season until they become compliant as their fixtures will be suspended. The deadline is 30th November to become compliant as the Spring Season fixtures/divisions will be created at the beginning of December and you will either be in or out at that stage. If there are any issues with meeting this deadline, you should email safeguarding@yelonline.com and we will see if we can find an acceptable solution. We do not want to stop children playing football however we all have a responsibility to ensure they are playing in as safe an environment as possible. Please do not ignore the emails from the Safeguarding team. We are working with Nottinghamshire FA on this and they have significantly more severe measures available to them including club wide suspensions as has already now been proved. CFAs will take action.
