Monday July 3rd – Deadline for guaranteed team entry U9-U14
U9-U14 teams – Any clubs whose membership was renewed at the AGM plus the new members voted in at the AGM, have until Monday 3rd July to enter any remaining U9-U14 teams to be guaranteed a place in a division for the 2023-24 season. New team applications will still be accepted up until the final deadline of July 24th but will be subject to space being available for them.
U7 & U8 teams – these teams are not affected by this deadline and applications will continue to be accepted up until December.
Player registration update from Notts FA
We have received the following email from Notts FA regarding player registrations:
It appears there’s some confusion over messaging with player registration so to clarify please see below:
JUNE
- This is a closed month for football other than small-sided festivals
- Therefore players are not registered with competitions at this stage – Free Agents
- Players CAN be added within club portals
- Players ARE NOT registered to competitions during this month, even if the league has accepted them
JULY
- Competitions CAN accept player registrations
The above is to account for FA regulation for closed season activities.
The league portals will go through the season change 1st – 5th July as all FA systems are down during this period to manage the process. We have had clarity from the FA that if LEAGUES have accepted player registrations the data will NOT be lost.
I apologise if it wasn’t clear that this was a league information update and not for clubs. I understand that some of you have instructed clubs to de-register players please note this wasn’t the advice in the email below and clubs SHOULD NOT be instructed to do this.
We would suggest that you do continue to register them to your club portal but DO NOT submit them to the league until after July 5th
New photos for 2023-24
U11 & U12 are the only age groups where ALL players will require new photographs to be able to register for the 2023-24 season.
U7s & U8 are not affected.
U9, U10, U13 & U14 will only need a new photograph if the image being used was uploaded BEFORE May 31st 2020.
For an image to be accepted by the YEL, it needs to be a good quality passport style head and shoulders only image – see image – NOT a ‘distance photo where the image of the player is very small.
