New ‘signing’ for the YEL in the January transfer window!

We are delighted to introduce the latest member of our YEL Team – Rachael Wilks.

Rachael will be a familiar face to many of you having previously been the Designated Safeguarding Officer at Nottinghamshire FA. She brings with her a wealth of experience in grassroots football, particularly around safeguarding which is one of the cornerstones of our league and is one of the main reasons we are ‘The national FA Grassroots League of the Year 2023.’

Rachael will be supporting the admin team and will continue to work with the four local county FAs who have teams in the YEL as we look to further strengthen the message that children’s football should be a safe and enjoyable experience for ALL participants – players, coaches, spectators and referees.

February half term games 10th/11th & 17th/18th

The league does not normally set games during half term. If your team is available and you want a game Sat 10th/Sun 11th February and/or Sat 17th/Sun 18th February, we are happy to try and arrange a fixture. All you need to do is add your availability to Scoreline. DO NOT EMAIL THE OFFICE. Updating Scoreline is the ONLY way to advise us that you are available. Must be updated no later than 2pm Thursday 25th January. Any issues with accessing Scoreline, please contact the YEL Office for assistance.
Process:
1.         Check availability with your players first. If you are NOT available, you do not need to do anything. If you ARE available continue to 2.
2.         Log into Scoreline
3.         Click ‘Availability’ in the left hand menu
4.         Once the calendar has opened, click the date (your playing day Sat/Sun)
5.         Click the blue wording at the top of the date box
6.         When page opens, click the drop down box and select ‘available’
7.         Click ‘Save’
8.         Repeat for next date if you are available.

SECRETARIES – Accreditation deadline – March 10th 2024

The YEL is an England accredited league. Our League Regulations, (Reg 1) states that to be a member club of the YEL you must hold be an England Football Accredited Club. For a club to be a readmitted/accepted as a new member of the YEL for season 2024-25 YOU MUST BE ENGLAND ACCREDITED AT THE AGM IN JUNE (brand new clubs – less than 12 months old – need to obtain an email from your county FA to say that you have started the process)

The deadline set by The FA to have your renewal/England Accreditation application submitted is March 10th 2024. Check NOW that your coaches have the necessary qualifications. If not, then get onto the process ASAP as some online courses – Introduction to coaching as an example – get filled up quickly and you may find they have no availability.

If you are unsure what needs to be done, please contact your local CFA.
