YEL Update – 4th July 2025

Welcome to the 2025-26 season and The Update. For those new club officials and team contacts that have joined the league this season, this weekly Update provides valuable information which needs to be actioned/shared. It is usually sent out to all club secretaries and team contacts although occasionally all club officials are included.

This Update has FOUR important messages this week, which we would ask you to please read.

Scoreline – all users need to log in

As per YEL League Regulation 1, it is a mandatory requirement that ALL users – club officials & team contacts –log into the league administration system – Scoreline – in order for teams to be eligible to play in the YEL. This also ensures that all email contact information is correct.

Team contacts – Scoreline provides contact information for other teams, access to rules & regulations, ability to report Respect issues to the league and much more

Club officials – Scoreline provides all of the above plus access to invoices and monitoring Respect behaviour of your teams

July 24th – IMPORTANT DATE

A very important date by which a number of key milestones need to have been reached in order for

clubs/teams to continue their progress towards the start of the season
JULY 24th Minimum number of players need to be registered for each team on Club portal – 5v5 (5); 7v7 (7); 9v9 (9); 11v11 (11)JULY 24th Last day for U9-U14 teams to be affiliated in order to be included in YEL 2025-26 season

JULY 24th Last day for free withdrawals
JULY 24th Last day to enter a U9-U14 team (inclusion not guaranteed – depends on space available)

Player registrations open – Maximum squad size

Player registrations are open. We recommend you get your players added and submitted to the league as soon as possible. We are anticipating close to 20,000 player registrations this year so the system is likely to be very busy the closer we get to deadlines (See July 24th deadline message above). Please don’t leave it until the last minute.Every YEL team needs to have the minimum number of players registered on Club portal by midnight July 24th

IMPORTANT 1 – minimum number of players
U7/U8 – 5 players (for teams looking to be included from Sept – the first of three pre-Christmas intakes)
U9/U10 – 7 players
U11/U12 – 9 players
U13/U14 – 11 players

IMPORTANT 2 – maximum squad size
Reminder: As per YEL Rules/Regulations voted in by the member clubs, the MAXIMUM number of players that can be registered for each squad is as follows:
U7/U8 – unlimited
U9/U10 – 14 players
U11/U12 – 18 players
U13/U14 – 22 players

IMPORTANT 3 – dual registration of players
U9-U14 Players cannot be registered to more than one YEL teams in the same age group on the same day. If any club/team is found doing this, the player’s registration will be cancelled for both/all teams and a fine issued for failing to follow a management instruction.

Please adhere to these rules BEFORE you agree to sign players on as it will be enforced and will only lead to potential disappointment and frustration if not followed.

Invoices settled within 14 days

CLUB TREASURERS: 

Quick reminder that the payment terms on all YEL invoices is 14 days. Any invoices not paid within 14 days will attract a late payment charge.

League fees issued in June and are now due for payment. Please log into Scoreline where you will find your invoices.

Essential all payments have the invoice number/s as the reference. If there are multiple invoices, can you please send an email detailing the invoices paid – finance@yelonline.com
