YEL Office email has changed!

LAST CHANCE for half-term friendlies – 15th & 16th and 22nd & 23rd February

U7-U14 teams – Feb half term games. Fixtures have already been set for U7s & U8s on Feb 15/16. Also for U9/U10 on Feb 22/23.

We appreciate players may be away over half term so, to cut down unnecessary admin and emails where teams cancel through lack of players and oppositions who have a team and want to play being left gameless, we are asking everyone else to tell us if you are available and would like a game by no later than 5pm Sat 1st February (TOMORROW). It’s a simple process. You give us your availability on Scoreline and we’ll try and match you up with a similar level team.

NB CHECK AVAILABILITY WITH YOUR TEAM FIRST BEFORE UPDATING SCORELINE

Only Team contacts listed on Scoreline should add the teams’ availability

Log into Scoreline – https://portal.yelscoreline.com/
Click on ‘Availability’ in the left hand menu
Click calendar to February
Click on the blue ‘fixture availability’ on the date/s you are available
Select ‘available’ from the dropdown box
Then click Save

Games will be created for those who want them shortly after the closing date. No additional friendlies will be created afterwards. Do not email the office asking for friendlies. Games will only be created for those who have updated Scoreline.

TREASURERS – Invoice numbers as a reference, are essential on all payments

A handful of clubs are not using invoices numbers as the reference on the bank payments when making payments to the league. It is essential that you use the invoice number as a reference on the bank payment. If you are paying multiple invoices and there is insufficient space in the reference section, please either make two or more separate payments or send an email listing the payments made. Please be aware that payments without an invoice number reference will not be processed. Any outstanding invoices which become overdue, will receive a ‘late payment’ charge.

Finally, we are aware that some clubs pass the fines onto coaches to pay. If you are not already doing it, can clubs please pay the fines directly to the league and then reclaim the money internally.

YEL Community Fund

We’ve been advised by the YEL Community Fund team that only a few clubs have applied for the current round of funding. The YEL Community Fund has grants available for any YEL member club from £25 to £250. IDEAS FOR GRANTS: Could go towards a large project or fund a small project completely. Could also be used to help fund coaches on FA education courses. Get your application in and the Community Fund panel will look at it. Any club official can apply either on behalf of a team or the club. Simply log into Scoreline – https://portal.yelscoreline.com – and select ‘YEL Community Fund’ from the left hand menu.

YEL Office email address has changed!
