YEL Update Extra – 22nd September 2025

This Update extra contains TWO important messages which we would ask you to please read.

  • KO times and venues – correct on Full-Time
  • Contacting referees

Kick off times and venues

Reminder: Clubs and teams must have the correct kick off time & venue showing on Full-Time. Failure to have the correct time and venue showing, particularly for U9-U14 games, impacts referee appointments and often means a referee who has a double appointment (one game after another) is left with only one game. We request all clubs/teams get the information into us 10 days prior to the date of the game. Failure to update us will result in a fine for the team and potentially a team missing out on a referee. The league also has the right to order the game to go ahead at the scheduled KO time which may result in you having to hire another venue or have the fixture reversed.

Contacting referees

We are getting too many referees contacting us on a Wednesday or Thursday saying they have not heard from the home team. It is a requirement that all home teams contact the appointed referee by Monday evening at the latest (exception is those referees appointed off the late list on Tuesday/Wednesday – in which case you must contact them within 24hrs) Any further emails from referees stating they haven’t been contacted will result in a fine for failing to follow a management instruction – YEL Rules – Rule 6 – as this is creating unnecessary admin for the YEL Referees team.

Contacting the YEL

If you email the YEL OFFICE – office@yelonline.com – please ensure you state the team name, age group and playing day so we can quickly deal with the enquiry
